I hate the mass germophobia that's taking over the planet these days. People like to scare you by saying, "that's got germs on it." But germs are just microorganisms. The point these scientists are making is that a vuvuzela blast has more "germs than a sneeze," but what kind of germs? The germs of an allergy sneeze, a cold sneeze, a flu-sneeze, some kind of sci-fi instant-death superflu sneeze? There's a huge difference.
